Finally
So I'm at work like the rest of the kids that blog with absolutely nothing to do! NOTHING! It's kind of crazy that we actually get paid to do this job. Gotta love being a student worker.
Anyways...can I just say that I had tons of fun last night at the softball games. The Central Manly Men were great despite their unfortunate loss...but I must say that the kids in the stands had a great time. And the Co-ed team did great for obvious reasons. :) I know everyone thinks that baseball/softball is a "slow" game, but I think that it is the most fun time for fellowship. You get to encourage and cheer, while you also get to catch up with good friends and enjoy one another's company. I love those kinds of fellowship. So if I was staying around for the second half I would for sure be attending all softball games.
I'm a little disgruntled about leaving for the second half. I am way excited about my time at Pine Cove and the Lord is going to do great things, but I am way sad about not spending time here. It has been so wonderful to just work and have time to be with friends and just get to be in the Body. The Lord is so faithful to work in this time. I feel like I've just gotten to really experience the Spririt through the people around me. I love that! So as hard as it is going to be to leave, I'm also equally pumped about Pine Cove. Working with 7 kids and amazing parents this summer is going to be TONS of fun! The Lord has a huge plan!
Do you ever wonder how the story ends or when? I feel like I wonder a lot. Just when you think there is about to be a great ending or even just a satisfying one the Author throws a twist in there and gets things exciting again. Sometimes I want to call it bad writing only cause selfishly I wanted to get to the end a whole lot faster than the Author decided...but there is something about the end of those kind of suspenseful, twisting stories that is more satisfying and more amazing than you ever expected half-way through the story. That's the thing with a good book...it's just gets better and when you get to the end, you are mad because you wanted the book to keep going. I guess though that the Author gets to decide where it ends, and that's it...it ends. So I wonder when this story will end or how...I guess I can know that it'll be better than I ever imagined...it turns out that this Author is amazing and He's got a record of AMAZING stories and their endings too.
"In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering."
Hebrews 2:10
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2
Isn't it interesting that that word authority has the base word author....cause I think there's something there kids. :)
love y'all
